Thanks to ANDREW WEATHERALL for so much, for being the maverick spirit, forever imprinted in all the music he touched. We salute the Guv'nor. The insightful tributes across social media are testament to his legendary status.

Duel was R3mote's first release, as the closing track on From the Bunker LP, a compilation of acts on Weatherall's Rotter Golf Club label. The track was subsequently released via RGC on R3mote's six-track Remotion EP, curated by Andrew. Later Duel was featured at Raindance film festival. Strolling through Shoreditch one evening Andrew remarked that despite the writer not being a listener of John Carpenter, Duel bore the hallmarks of said composer which was the 'genius of it'. What an immense compliment, especially coming from Mr Weatherall himself.

R3mote eventually morphed into Detachments, this was after Weatherall hooked them up with Ivan Smagghe's Kill The DJ label, whom it transpired, also had an act called Remote.

Andrew Weatherall. Jah bless. Condolences to all his family and friends. . So many memories of hanging out at his studio The Bunker in east London. He put out my first record, arranged my first proper gigs etc.
He said many inspiring things about my music. Thanks for everything man. True visionary, what a mind. Strange - was just thinking about him before I heard the sad news, thinking what a spirited assertive guy he was. A force. True maverick.
