Zauberberg tells the story of an older, well-to-do lady from different perspectives. From the admission to the retirement and nursing home, her memories of better times, her worries about an impending inheritance dispute between her children to her death and beyond. Linguistically there are among other things References to Thomas Mann (Buddenbrooks and The Magic Mountain) and Georgi Gospodinow (The Gardener and Death). Musically, the wobbly Boss DR-55 sets the beat, to which the Korg DW 6000 hybrid synthesizer tells of past future fantasies.
