The last few years have been a storm of feelings, ups and downs, lights and shadow, sadness and happiness. Videotraums new album “Ebbe // Flut” takes us on that journey through high and low tides. Inspired by the city of Hamburg and its long port history, the melancholy of its rains, the beauty of its forests and the diversity of its streets. Videotraum guides us down to the depths of the ocean and up to places of joy and love. Melancholic and melodic rhythms merge into danceable (heart)beats reminding us that we are alive and still humans under the influences of nature. Just like the tides that are moved by the effects of the moon. In nature everything is balanced, shadows are part of light, every day belongs to a night and after the stormiest flood comes calm and silence. With their album Jo & Misa let us feel the flow of that balance.

Die letzten Jahre waren ein Sturm der Gefühle, Höhen und Tiefen, Licht und Schatten, Traurigkeit und Freude. Videotraums neues Album “Ebbe // Flut” nimmt uns mit auf die Reise durch die Gezeiten. Inspiriert von der Stadt Hamburg und ihrer langen Hafengeschichte, der Melancholie des Nieselregens, der Schönheit der Wälder und der Vielfalt ihrer Straßen. Videotraum führt uns hinab in die Tiefen des Meeres und hinauf zu Orten der Freude und Liebe. Melancholische und melodische Rhythmen verschmelzen zu tanzbaren (Herz-)Schlägen, die uns daran erinnern, dass wir lebendig sind und als Menschen unter dem Einfluss der Natur leben. So wie die Gezeiten, die durch die Wirkung des Mondes bewegt werden. In der Natur ist alles im Gleichgewicht, Schatten sind Teil des Lichts, zu jedem Tag gehört eine Nacht und nach der stürmischsten Flut kommt Ruhe und Stille. Mit ihrem Album lassen uns Jo & Misa den Flow dieses Gleichgewichts spüren.
